Anglers must take personal responsibility for their own safety, and that of other anglers. Special attention is drawn to the requirements below. Failure to comply with these requirements may lead to expulsion from the club:
· Use of drugs and excessive alcohol consumption will result in expulsion.
· If a boat is used for working parties or to free a fish there must be at least two members present, and members in the boat must wear the life jackets provided. Boats must be properly secured after use.
· Boats must not be used for any other purpose without Committee approval.
· Junior members must be accompanied by an adult and closely supervised at all times.
· Water managers must ensure that regular inspections are carried out to identify dangerous trees and bankside damage, particularly after storms.
· Members who find damaged or dangerous trees and bankside hazards must report them immediately to the Committee for action.
· Major work on swims, beyond minor trimming and removal of fallen branches, must be approved by the Committee.
· Chain saws are only to be used for planned maintenance and by qualified members agreed by a Committee member. At least one other person must be nearby when they are in use.
· Ladders must be secured after use, and dangerous items like petrol and cutting tools must be locked in the cabin.
